Tracked him for 2 hours onto the mountain top and my father splitoff the track thinking I would jump the buck out of the thick hemlocks. Instead of going into the hemlocks, the buck headed back down the mountain and I shot him @40 yards 1/2 hour later as he was feeding on some beech whips.
